Security Town Hall Today
-
The security town hall is today at 2.
-
Parking lot is full.
-
They verified that we can have a sheriff on site for $120/hr.
The room and parking lot were packed.

I could not access Zoom but having heard about what transpired I don't think I missed anything. There apparently wasn't anything discussed that we have not already considered. Bottom line, I believe, is we have to be more aware of keeping our homes and ourselves safe from criminals.

Learning that the the walls are the weak link in our security issue......a cheaper option might be to wire the walls that are at fault and monitor.....Dont know if that was one of the items That they "were connsidering"

There was a request made by someone for a website for Sun City Residents ONLY in conjunction with conversation re NextDoor and of course here is one that too few people know about and how to join. It was glossed over...too bad. People need to know about this outlet for communication. Not sure how to accomplish but maybe if we all notify friends on our email list that would help.
-
I schmoozed with Clint afterwards . I might be able to get the URL sent out in an email blast. Maybe. Itβs not that urgent at the moment.
-
Not urgent??? Probably not but would be nice esp considering how much effort you have put into it!
-
@komcgov I know. I just worry about having 1000 people sign up all at once. That would be an unknown kind of load on the site. If we grow a few at a time, I can monitor things much easier.
Make sense?
We're at about 100 now, so 1000 would be 10x, maybe 10 months from now we'll hit it.
I've had the residents only categories open to the public to try and attract more people to sign up, but I'm ready to make it private again so we're not advertising anything about crime in the community.

Would be great if we could text the Fast Pass to our guests in addition to email. I have more phone numbers readily available than I do email addresses.
