The all-time hit king and Jackson -- both longtime baseball pariahs stained by gambling, seen by MLB as the game's mortal sin -- are now presumably eligible for election into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

He was banned from Baseball for betting in baseball games. Considering he really was one of the game’s all time greats, he likely will be entered into the Hall of Fame.
I think it was a good decision, since it’s done posthumous.
